HAYORDI’s unwavering mission is to bring hope and light to those living in the shadows. FASF is recommitting to its humanitarian mission with renewed vigor. This time, our primary focus is on supporting the HAYORDI Charitable Foundation. Through our shared compassion and commitment, we can bring hope and light to those enduring hardships imposed by challenges that defy humanitarian principles.
Let’s explore HAYORDI together!
It was founded during the 44-day war by families of fallen Armenian soldiers. Since then, it has implemented hundreds of programs for the victims’ children, benefiting over 2,000 children and becoming the largest organization of its kind in Armenia and Artsakh. Despite losing several centers in Artsakh, Hayordi evolved into the ‘Hayordi’ Charitable Foundation after the region’s loss.
To consolidate its efforts, Hayordi established a center in Yerevan, which provides comprehensive support for the families of the Artsakhtsi fallen Soldiers.
The five points outlined below represent the main directions of the ‘Hayordi’ foundation, with the last two being our top priority due to their significance.
“Hayordi” Workshop: A vibrant space where children participate in various free groups, fostering creativity and collaboration.
- “Hayordi” Studio: An inspiring environment where children can express their emotions through pottery, painting, and other artistic activities. The studio also features a dedicated team of psychologists to support the emotional well-being of the participants.
- Library: A well-stocked library brimming with modern books, accessible to all children, promoting literacy and a love for reading.
- Khokha – In Artsakh dialect “khokha” means “Child”: The centre designed for children aged 3-6 years, provides tailored programs and activities that cater to the developmental needs of young children.
- Mairenik Program: An initiative that aims to honor and support single mothers raising children born after the loss of their fathers in the war, offering them assistance and recognition for their resilience.
A Beacon of Hope and Cultural Preservation
In the face of unprecedented challenges, the dedication to the “Khokha” child development network remains unshaken. Originally established to nurture and support children aged 3-6, “Khokha” has been a cornerstone for preserving the Artsakh dialect, fostering cultural connection, and providing much-needed educational and rehabilitative services.
Unfortunately, the centers built over the years were lost due to war and forced displacement, but their mission endured. Today, the importance of cultural preservation and fostering bonds among children is more significant than ever. That is why a bold step was taken to reopen “Khokha” in Yerevan, and the vital work continues.
In the past, hundreds of children from the families of fallen Artsakh Armenians have attended the center, receiving not only free rehabilitative and educational services but also the gift of connection—both to their heritage and to one another—through the Artsakh dialect.
The “MAIRENIK” program is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to honoring and supporting young mothers who courageously raise their children alone. These children, born in the shadows of loss, have faced unimaginable challenges after the tragic passing of their fathers in the recent Artsakh war. The weight of grief can be unbearable, but the resilience of these women is a beacon of hope.
From their devastating loss, the “Hayordi” Foundation has stood unwaveringly by their side – during pregnancy, delivery, and beyond – ensuring these mothers receive the essential items they need: clothing, supplies, and the tender care every child deserves.
HAYORDI’s commitment to these families doesn’t end there. They have provided ongoing financial support for months, helping them navigate the challenges of raising a child without a partner. But this cannot be done alone.
We invite you to join in this vital mission. Your support can help sustain the “MAIRENIK” program, ensuring these children grow up with the love and care they need to thrive despite their hardships. Together we can make a profound difference in their lives, offering assistance and a message of hope and solidarity.
