FASF issuing Grant to HAYORDI

Homes of Honor

The Friends of the Armenian Soldier and Family (FSAF) has provided a $20,000 grant to the HAYORDI Charitable Foundation.

Once again, we extend our sincere gratitude to our compatriots who, with great awareness and a spirit of sacrifice, contributed to the joint initiative of Hayordi and FSAF to furnish the homes purchased with state assistance for the families of ten fallen soldiers.

Thanks to your support, the funds have already been transferred to HAYORDI, whose tireless efforts have brought warmth to many homes, where the children of our soldiers will preserve the memory of their heroic fathers.

FASF Issues $17,000 grant to AGBU for a three-day healing and recreational camp for 170 children whose fathers lost their lives or were discharged due to injuries sustained in service.

Another Successful Fundraising

Friends of the Armenian Soldier and Family (FASF) issued a grant to the AGBU Armenia  for $17,000.

Thanks to the generosity of FASF’s community of friends and supporters, the campaign raised the full target amount, which will cover the costs of a three-day healing and recreational camp in Tsaghkadzor this October for 170 children whose fathers lost their lives or were discharged due to injuries sustained in service.

This success was made possible by every single donor who gave from the heart!

Azbarez: FASF Provides Aid to Disabled Soldiers and Veteran:

Overview of the Circle of Friends

Supporting fallen Armenian soldiers and their families is not a one-time problem. This is a cause that will need continuous contribution for many years to come. ZINAPAH – National Foundation for Servicemen Insurance (previously known as Insurance Foundation for Servicemen), one of FASF’s key partners, estimates that over $300M needs to be invested over the next 20 years towards these causes (per ZINAPAH records). This is a big problem, but also a big opportunity for the community to band together and support.

The 44-day war of 2020 was a major blow to all Armenians.

Azbarez: Taking Care of Casualties of War and Armenian Soldiers:

A Remarkable Success Story

ZINAPAH – National Foundation for Servicemen Insurance (previously known as Insurance Foundation for Servicemen) was founded in 2017 as a result of the Four-day 2016 war when 100 lives of young Armenian soldiers were lost. Given that the Armenian government’s contribution to the fallen and injured soldiers was very minimal, IMF was created with the intent to get a larger infusion of monetary support to them, some of whom were at the brink of poverty. The idea was to create a fund that directly financed Armenian citizens.

FASF does not seek to create a new organization there, but simply use the existing channels to help families particularly affected after the recent war. The organization seeks to connect links between the diaspora and soldiers’ families to continuously support the needs of Armenian veterans through monthly monetary contributions. FASF will partner with organizations on the ground in Armenia to deliver career training programs, rehabilitation services, and support for the everyday lives of these surviving veterans and the families of those who have fallen.
